20 minutes from town of Bonaventure
From the town of Bonaventure, travel 11.1 miles (18 km) to town of St. Elzear.
At stop sign, turn right and go 200 feet to left turn on Eglise Road (Chemin de L’Eglise).
Travel 1.3 miles (2.1 km) until the end of road then turn left,
And travel another 1.3 miles (2.1 km) to another turn left.
Just before this left turn you will cross a bridge over the Duval River.
Once you make this left turn, travel 2.5 miles (4.1 km) to another left turn, and travel 1.3 miles (2.1 km) to next left turn where you will come to a gate for the private land road.

The Bonaventure River (famous for its incredibly clear water that features visibility up to one hundred feet).
The Bonaventure River, called ‘Wagamet' (clear water) by the local Mic-Mac aboriginals, flows down from the Chic Choc Mountains found deep in the heart of the Gaspe Peninsula. It flows for 125 kilometers (76 miles) before emptying into the Baie des Chaleurs. Atlantic salmon and sea trout travel far up the main river. There are 103 named pools, and almost as many unnamed runs and little holding areas scattered throughout the limited and unlimited rod sectors.
A truly spectacular river, the Bonaventure has one of the biggest runs of salmon of all the Gaspe Rivers, with over 3,000 fish returning annually. With almost ever changing pool structure the "Bonnie" offers the angler almost every type of fishing situation possible.
Winter in this area is outdoor heaven, with snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and miles and miles of ATV trails that become snowmobile trails.
